Last week LUMI team informed HR HPC CC (NCC Croatia) about gaining access to LUMI-C partition.

Through this access, HR HPC CC will run tests using some of the most commonly used HPC applications by Croatian researchers like  OpenFoam, Gromacs, Quantum Espresso, CP2K, and Orca. In parallel, HR HPC CC will familiarize itself with the Cray environment including Cray MPICH and Cray Compiling Environment, and the overall LUMI HPC system and application environment. These applications are a good representation of regular HPC users currently using the national HPC system.

Gaining access through this Call will help HR HPC CC to improve its understanding of how the proposed applications scale on larger systems and thus make HR HPC CC more competent in identifying potential Croatian researchers that could be on-boarded in future EuroHPC calls. This will be the third hands-on experience on EuroHPC resources thus completing three types of submitted and awarded projects to HR HPC CC so far: Benchmark/LUMI-C, Development/Vega and Regular/Vega.
