Portuguese Competence Centre for High-Performance Computing (HPC) has the goal to enhance and develop the competences of the Portuguese computational community, making full use of EuroHPC resources and the EuroCC partnership.

The Portuguese National Competence Centre was established under the National Competence Centres in the Framework of EuroHPC (EuroCC) project as part of a network of national competence centres for HPC in 33 member states of the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU).

The National Competence Center (NCC) in EuroCC is coordinated by the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research and technology (FCT) and integrates several entities that through the NCC provide their expertise and capabilities to support the HPC adoption and usage.
