The AI2Future Conference, organized by CroAI, the Croatian Artificial Intelligence Association, is an annual conference on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which brings together relevant AI experts.
The conference is being held on 13th and 14th of October 2022 in Zagreb, Croatia, and represents an excellent opportunity for the meeting of startups, companies, enthusiasts and other stakeholders from the field of AI. Furthermore, it is an ideal place for development of new ideas and projects in the field of AI.
Among numerous keynote speakers and presenters, there are also experts representing the Croatian Competence Centre for HPC: Jurica Špoljar from the University Computing Centre (SRCE) of the University of Zagreb and Rok Hribar from the Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS) from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Both presenters gave their presentations on the first day of the conference:
Rok Hribar held the workshop “Deep Learning through examples using Keras”, where participants learned how to properly use artificial neural networks through practical examples from machine learning.
Jurica Špoljar held the workshop “What is HPC, and how can you get access to it?” where he presented high-performance computing (HPC), its benefits and applications, as well as the supercomputing resources: one pre-exascale and four petascale supercomputers of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking available for all European scientists, R&D projects from industry or public services.
In addition to the aforementioned workshops, the conference presented a large number of the AI project success stories. Two novelties of this year’s conference are the research track, where scientific papers from leading Croatian faculties were presented, and the AI demo-solutions fair, where the most interesting projects of innovative AI startups and companies were presented.
