Exascale Computing day with an open day at NCC Slovenia!

“Exascale” computers are supercomputers of the future that will be able to compute at least 10^18 floating-point operations per second (1 exaFLOPS). You might wonder what this means and in what way Slovenia plays an important role in supercomputing development with its knowledge, investments in infrastructure and usage of powerful systems — all of this will be presented at the Open Day of Slovenian Supercomputer Centres on October 18th at 5 PM via Zoom live stream.

Some of the most powerful Slovenian supercomputers will be presented:

During the live stream the following topics will be addressed:

  • Technologies and their usage;
  • Development of supercomputing in Slovenia;
  • How you can learn to use supercomputers and how we can help you achieve that;
  • A guided tour of the supercomputer.

Join us on October 18th at 5 PM at this link. The event will be interpreted in English
