ENCCS/AMD GPU Workshop Training Material and Recording

ENCCS joined forces with AMD and their experts to organise a GPU-focused workshop on November 2022. The idea behind the workshop was to familiarise participants with the ROCm software development languages, libraries, and tools. This will help people take advantage of AMD GPUs in powerful systems like LUMI in Finland. 

The workshop included but was not limited to presentations and type-along exercise sessions on 

  • Porting applications to HIP
  • Details of AMD accelerator architecture
  • Using OpenMP Offload on AMD accelerators
  • GPU-Aware MPI with ROCm™
  • Profiling and debugging
